You’re pregnant and starting to plan your baby registry. You specifically want green and eco friendly baby products but are unsure of which ones to choose.

I hope that describes what you’re looking for. That definitely describes me about 2 years ago when I found out I was pregnant.

This is why I wrote this post – to help other soon-to-be moms who are going through that uncertainty that I had.

Going green can be difficult, especially as a new mom.

In this post, I will cover 25 organic and non-toxic baby items to add to your registry right away!

Don’t forget to fill in your details below to get a FREE printable pregnancy journal to be there with you every week of this amazing journey!

25 eco friendly baby registry items

I only recommend products I would use myself and all opinions expressed here are my own. This post contains affiliate links. If you use these links to buy something, I may earn a commission. Thanks.

All of the items I mention here link to Amazon. This way, you can easily add them to your Amazon baby registry without the need to copy and paste the item names.

  1. Organic Bamboo Burp Cloths

These burp cloths are my favorite and I’ve tried 3 different brands already. I highly recommend them since they are super absorbent and soft.

Many burp cloths claim to be absorbent, such as muslin ones but from my experience, they just became soaked after wiping a bit of spit-up.

2. Waterproof Crib Mattress Protector

This is quite an important item to have on your baby registry. Your baby is bound to have an accident during the night or spit up all over the sheets.

Having a mattress protector will make sure the mattress stays clean.

I have this mattress protector for Haylee’s crib and it fits perfectly!

3. Silicone Food Feeder Pacifiers

Once your little one turns 6 months and starts eating solids, these food feeder pacifiers are perfect! You can fill them with frozen breastmilk, fruit, or smoothies.

They’re completely non-toxic and are made of food-grade silicone. I prefer them much more over the mesh feeders since silicone is really easy to wash and it feels good on your baby’s gums.

As a bonus, they come with a pacifier clip so you can attach it to your little one’s clothes.

4. Baby Cloth Books

non toxic baby toys

You get 8 cloth books which make a crinkly noise. No plastic here so you can rest assured you’re getting an eco friendly baby product.

These books are waterproof too which makes them great for bath time. I have them for Haylee and she loves shaking them just to hear the crinkly sound.

Another great thing about these books is that your little one can bite them all she wants.

I know Haylee loves biting the board books but with these, I don’t have to worry about her eating cardboard.

5. Baby Wrap Carrier

This is a must have for any crunchy mom baby registry!

With this carrier, you can have your little one close to you while you do things around the house. It’s really thick fabric so it can hold your baby’s weight.

I was so scared at the beginning that Haylee would fall out of it. Yup, that’s a first time mom fear. It took some time until I learned to trust the carrier.

Then, it became my favorite baby item since I can have her close to me while still having my hands free.

6. Touched By Nature Baby Pants

These baby pants are made of organic cotton and they’re so soft! An excellent addition to your baby registry.

7. Baby Bandana Drool Bibs

Drool bibs are a #1 must have on every mom’s baby registry. I started using these bibs when Haylee was about a month old.

It prevented me from changing her clothes a million times a day, every time she spat up.

These bibs are actually the same company as the burp clothes I mentioned in the first item of this eco friendly baby registry list.

And they’re also the same company as the silicone baby feeder pacifiers. What can I say? They make quality, non-toxic baby products.

I bought another brand of drool bibs too but these are way softer and more absorbent.

8. Vegan Nipple Butter

This will only apply if you plan to breastfeed. If you do choose to, I highly recommend this nipple butter for the first few days or weeks while your body gets used to it.

Not only that, you should bring it with you to the hospital when you give birth since the first couple of days are really painful!

This nipple butter is perfectly natural and safe for your little one to ingest so no need to wash it off before breastfeeding again.

You’ll also find more breastfeeding essentials here.

9. Organic Diaper Balm

This is the same company as the nipple butter mentioned above. It’s Earth Mama, which is an eco friendly and non-toxic brand.

The diaper balm is another great product that can be used instead of the popular brands which have harmful ingredients.

This way, you can prevent diaper rashes in a natural way.

10. Silicone Nasal Aspirator

One of my favorite baby products that I use almost every day is this silicone nasal aspirator which is a baby registry must have.

It’s made of hospital-grade silicone so no need to worry about harmful ingredients.

11. Silicone Manual Breast Pump

If you plan to breastfeed, this is another must have item for your eco friendly baby registry.

You can seriously collect so much milk from this breast pump without even trying! I would use it many times when I breastfeed and it collects the letdown from the other side so your precious milk doesn’t go to waste.

I would collect anywhere from 1-3 ounces every time I used it. This milk would become my freezer stash without even the need to pump!

I’m so glad I read about this product in the mom groups I’m part of on Facebook. This is such a useful item to have!

12. The Honest Company Diapers

eco friendly diapers

Obviously you will need diapers on your baby registry. You may choose to use cloth diapers which is definitely an eco friendly option.

However, I’ve only used disposable diapers and I only recommend what I know. Therefore, the diapers I chose to add to this list of sustainable baby products are the ones I use for Haylee.

I love The Honest Company for several reasons which I elaborate more in my post about cruelty free diapers.

13. Long Sleeve Onesies

Newborns need to be dressed in layers to preserve their body warmth. Therefore, it’s great to have lots of long sleeve onesies available.

This is a pack of 6 white long sleeve onesies, made of 100% cotton. Perfect for layering and keeping your little one warm.

14. Short Sleeve Onesies

Short sleeve onesies are also convenient to have around for when it’s warmer outside but you still need to dress your baby in layers.

This comes in a pack of 8. You can choose between white or patterns. I bought this in 3 different variations for different sizes as Haylee grew.

They come in adorable designs and the fabric is 100% cotton.

15. Sleep and Play PJs

When your little one is just born, there is really no need for fancy outfits. I dressed Haylee in sleeper PJs all through the first few months.

They’re so easy and comfortable. As the title says – they’re perfect for sleep and play.

This is 100% organic cotton and is highly recommended to add to your crunchy mom baby registry.

16. Bamboo Hooded Baby Towels

bamboo baby towels

I love soft towels and these hit the spot! Another baby item made of 100% organic bamboo.

I noticed that baby items made of bamboo are way more absorbent than other materials. It’s the perfect material for things like towels, bibs, and burp cloths.

17. Puracy Natural Baby Shampoo and Soap

This shampoo and soap is an excellent choice for the crunchy mom!

Free from parabens, phthalates, sulfates, and all those other harmful ingredients in baby shampoos. It’s also vegan and cruelty free so I love it.

18. Bamboo Rayon Changing Pad Liners

I really do love bamboo, I wasn’t kidding when I mentioned it earlier!

These changing pad liners are actually perfect as changing pads of their own. You don’t need a changing table and all that.

I had one for Haylee when she was a newborn and it was great for several months until she learned to roll over. Then it became a nightmare and really scary.

So I switched to changing her on my bed or on the rug. But I needed these changing pad liners to put underneath her.

I actually started with a different brand that came in a smaller size but she outgrew them after a few months and I had to buy a bigger size. So I got these bamboo changing pad liners since they’re really big.

Therefore, I recommend starting with them from the get-go instead of buying smaller ones first and then having to size up as your baby grows.

19. Bamboo Baby Washcloths

Another bamboo baby registry must have. These washcloths are soft and absorbent as you already know by now for bamboo items.

It’s a pack of 6 and each washcloth is made of 2 layers. They’re perfect for way more than just bath time.

I use my washcloths for feeding time, wiping her nose, patting her dry after diaper changes, and plenty more!

Washcloths for babies are such all-in-one items!

20. Silicone Breastmilk Storage Bags

When it comes to storing breastmilk, it can be difficult to find a sustainable and eco friendly option.

The most common storage method is disposable plastic bags. However, that’s completely the opposite of sustainable.

A slightly better option can be plastic reusable containers. But again, it’s plastic, which is bad for the environment since it will eventually be discarded.

The best eco friendly option is silicone reusable bags. They are extremely durable and are freezer friendly!

A definite win-win for you and the environment.

21. Diaper Caddy Organizer

Here’s another helpful item for your eco friendly baby registry. Diaper caddies make life so much easier as a mom!

You’re constantly running around and it’s easy to forget something important like an actual diaper when you need to change your little one.

Diaper caddy to the rescue!

Dump all your diaper stuff inside this canvas-made organizer and you won’t need to worry about forgetting something.

You can read about my favorite diaper caddy essentials here.

22. Silicone Stacking Teething Toys

These toys are perfect for teething as well as helping your baby develop by learning about stacking items.

No need to worry about paint peeling off of your toys, which actually happened to me and scared the crap out of me.

You also don’t need to worry about plastic and harmful chemicals on the toys since these are made of food-grade silicone.

Just the right sustainable baby toy!

23. Muslin Swaddle Blankets

No baby registry is complete without swaddle blankets. However, you should know that not all babies like to be swaddled.

I don’t suggest you go and add tons of swaddle blankets to your registry. Add a few and see what your baby likes.

I bought these kinds of blankets as well as the ones that are already in the swaddled form, you just put your baby inside.

To be honest, I didn’t use any of them for swaddling. I did use the blankets for other things like stroller covers and covering restaurant highchairs before putting Haylee in them.

24. Organic Hat and Mitten Set

When babies are just born, you need to help preserve their body heat, especially from the head. This is where the heat escapes from.

Putting hats on your newborn isn’t just for cute pictures but also to keep them warm.

This set comes with matching mittens so you can also get those adorable pictures.

25. Orthodontic Natural Rubber Pacifier

Almost every pacifier I’ve seen has plastic on it, but this is an exception.

Completely plastic free and sustainable, this pacifier is an excellent choice for those wanting an eco friendly baby registry.
